Telehealth appointments are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You will receive a link before your appointment. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet, private space. The consultation is the same thorough evaluation you would receive in person — Dr. Desilva will review your symptoms, medical history, and risk factors, then discuss next steps including any recommended sleep testing.

Please have the following ready: a list of current medications, your medical history (especially any cardiovascular or metabolic conditions), notes on your sleep patterns and symptoms, any prior sleep study results if applicable, and a measuring tape to measure your neck circumference if requested. Completing the intake forms before your appointment will help make the most of your consultation time.

We understand that schedules change. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. You can reschedule through our booking system or by contacting our office directly.

We are an out-of-network provider. You pay the stated consultation rate at the time of booking, and we provide a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many patients receive partial or full reimbursement depending on their out-of-network benefits. We also accept HSA and FSA payments. Contact your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network coverage.

No referral is needed to book an appointment with Dr. Desilva. You can self-refer and schedule directly. However, if your insurance plan requires a referral for out-of-network specialist visits and you plan to seek reimbursement, you may want to obtain one from your primary care provider beforehand.
