CPAP Management & Support

Hands-on fitting, weekly education classes, support groups, and ongoing care — this is what CPAP management should look like.

Our Approach vs. the Industry Standard

Most CPAP providers take a "drive-by" approach: a machine shows up on your doorstep via FedEx, and you're expected to figure it out on your own. Dr. Desilva does things differently.

The Typical Experience

  • Machine shipped to your door via FedEx
  • AI-measured mask sizing from a phone photo
  • A phone call to check in weeks later
  • Rotating call center staff for support
  • No in-person fitting or education
  • You're on your own to figure it out

Dr. Desilva's Approach

  • In-person or video consultation before starting
  • Hands-on mask fitting by trained professionals
  • 'Test drive' sessions — try before you commit
  • Weekly CPAP teaching classes for new users
  • Night and weekend troubleshooting support
  • Ongoing relationship with the same care team

What Makes Our CPAP Program Different

Every element of our CPAP management program is designed to help you succeed with therapy — not just start it.

"Test Drive" Sessions

Before committing to a specific CPAP setup, patients can try different machines, pressure settings, and mask styles during supervised sessions. This dramatically improves comfort and long-term compliance.

In-Person Mask Fitting

Your mask fitting is done by trained professionals who understand facial anatomy — not by an AI algorithm measuring your face from a phone photo. A proper fit prevents air leaks, skin irritation, and early abandonment of therapy.

Weekly CPAP Teaching Classes

Free weekly classes cover everything from machine setup and maintenance to troubleshooting common issues. New CPAP users learn alongside others, ask questions, and build confidence with their equipment.

"Snore No More" Support Groups

Our peer support groups connect CPAP users with each other. Sharing tips, encouragement, and real-world experiences with people who understand what you're going through makes a real difference in treatment success.

Night & Weekend Troubleshooting

CPAP problems don't only happen during business hours. Our team provides support when you actually need it — including evenings and weekends — so a bad night doesn't turn into an abandoned treatment.

Travel Guidance

Traveling with CPAP raises questions about TSA screening, international power adapters, airline policies, and altitude adjustments. We prepare you for every scenario so your treatment never misses a night.

Comfort & Compliance Products

Small accessories can make a big difference in CPAP comfort. We recommend and stock products that our patients find most helpful.

CPAP Pillows

Specialty pillows designed with cutouts that accommodate your mask, reducing pressure on your face and preventing mask displacement during sleep.

REMzzz Liners

Soft fabric liners that sit between your mask and skin, reducing irritation, absorbing moisture, and extending the life of your mask cushions.

Gecko Nasal Pads

Medical-grade gel pads that protect the nasal bridge from pressure wounds — a common and painful problem that causes many patients to quit CPAP therapy.

Injury Prevention

Nasal bridge pressure wounds are one of the most common — and most preventable — complications of CPAP therapy. These painful sores develop when a mask is too tight, poorly fitted, or the wrong style for a patient's face shape.

Our team monitors for early signs of skin irritation at every visit, adjusts mask fit proactively, and recommends protective products like Gecko nasal pads when needed. Prevention is always better than treatment.

Trauma-Informed Mask Desensitization

For some patients, wearing a mask over the face triggers anxiety, claustrophobia, or trauma responses. This is more common than most providers acknowledge — and it does not mean you "can't do CPAP."

Dr. Desilva's team uses a gradual, trauma-informed approach to mask desensitization. We start slow, respect your pace, and use proven techniques to help you build comfort and confidence with your mask over time. Many patients who were told they "failed" CPAP elsewhere succeed with this approach.

Traveling with CPAP

Traveling with a CPAP machine doesn't have to be stressful. We prepare our patients with practical guidance for every type of trip.

TSA Screening

CPAP machines are medical devices and do not count toward your carry-on limit. We provide documentation if needed.

International Travel

Guidance on power adapters, voltage converters, and distilled water availability in your destination country.

Altitude Adjustments

Higher altitudes affect air pressure and may require CPAP setting changes. We can adjust your machine before your trip.

Camping & Off-Grid

Battery pack options and portable machine recommendations for trips without reliable power access.

Who Is This For?

Our CPAP management program is for anyone starting CPAP therapy for the first time, patients who have struggled with CPAP compliance in the past, those experiencing mask discomfort or fit issues, and anyone who wants more support than a machine dropped on their doorstep. Whether you are new to CPAP or have been told you've "failed" CPAP therapy, we can help.
